MSc. Environmental Health (MEH) - DAAD Scholarship

The Malawi Polytechnic, a Constituent College of the University of Malawi, Faculty of Applied Sciences is inviting applications for the Master of Science in Environmental Health Programme which will commence in August/September/October 2021. The programme has limited scholarships offered by DAAD for national and international applicants. 

Course Modules: Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Environmental Health and Sustainable Development, Environmental Pollution Control, Food Safety and Hygiene, Health Communication and Behaviour Change, Health Impact Assessment, Occupational Health and Safety, Project Management, Research Methodology and Water and Sanitation.

Admission requirements:

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with above average results (a Credit, Distinction or GPA of 2.5 and above or equivalent) obtained from any recognized institution of higher learning in Environmental Health, Public Health or any other related field not more than 6 years ago (not beyond 2015). Candidates who already applied for this scholarship need not to re-apply. Female and underprivileged applicants are particularly encouraged to apply.

Application Procedure:

A complete Masters Programme application MUST INCLUDE: 

  1. A completed application form and CV; 
  2. 1 letter from an Academic Referee and 1 letter from a professional referee; 
  3. Certified Academic Transcript; 
  4. Certified copies of original degree certificates by a commissioner of oath or Lawyer or the Central Office (University Office where the candidate graduated from); 
  5. A non-refundable application fee of MK10,000 for Malawian applicants and US$25.00 for international applicants;
