Poly Conducts Customized Short course for Biomedical Technicians
The ceremony took place on March 16, 2021 at the School of Engineering where the certificate was presented to him by the trainers; lecturers Jack Nyirenda and Chindikani Mwenecho.
In his remarks after receiving the certificate, Gunda explained that it has been a very beneficial course where he has been imparted with knowledge and skills in installation, trouble shooting and maintenance of medical devices.
“Our organization’s goal is to improve health services where medical equipment is the crucial part in the deliverance of these services. Most of the activities in the hospital rely on medical equipment, in areas like the laboratory, theatre, the Xray among others. With this knowledge I will be able to achieve this goal effectively,” said Gunda.
This short course was developed as part of the capacity building for Partners in Health biomedical technicians.
Speaking about the delivery, Gunda explained that some modules were delivered online while others were done in the face-to-face interactive mode.
Gunda requested that Polytechnic should continue offering these courses in order to help improve the service delivery in the health sector.
He acknowledges all trainers for being professional and interactive during the course.
