Skills Lab Technician
Preamble
Skills laboratory refers to specifically equipped practice rooms functioning as training facilities offering medical or nursing students, and other medical staff alike a protected, fault-forgiving environment for the practice of clinical skills before their real-life application. The skill laboratories help to ensure that all students acquire the necessary techniques and are properly assessed before practicing on real patients. On the other hand, a skills lab should fulfill the need for the implementation of a competency-based program or curriculum. Every health training school must provide students access to a skills laboratory where they can practice and improve skills pre-specified in the curriculum.
